Pizza was ordered, and more coffee was served. As they waited for the food to arrive, they moved to the living room for more comfort as they talked. They figured that it would be a more comfortable setting for such a long story. Once everyone was settled all eyes went to AJ. He sighed and gave them all a wry look. “You ever notice, Howie, how the talking always falls to me?” he pointed out.

Howie grinned at him. “You do have the biggest mouth.” He replied. The usual banter between the two eased a little bit more of the tension. With a shrug and a grin, AJ conceded the point. He looked around at his friends, these men who were like brothers, and at his lover, the man who was his heart. Something caught AJ’s attention and he shamelessly opened himself up, extending his senses to try to read the emotions in the room.

What he came across had him jumping slightly in shock. “Holy shit!” he exclaimed, staring at Kevin and Nick who were sitting together on the love seat. “When did this happen?”

“What?” Nick asked in confusion.

A grin curved AJ’s lips. There was no mistaking the emotions that he had read. “You two!” he said happily. His words took a second to sink in, and then Howie and Brian were staring at well. Howie in surprise, Brian in joy. In the bond AJ felt no surprise, but a happiness that told him more than words. He turned accusing eyes to his lover. “You knew, didn’t you? You shit.”

The happiness in Brian didn’t dim in the least. “I knew how Nick felt, and I knew how Kevin felt. But they weren’t together before. This must be recent.” He explained before turning back to them. “About damn time, guys.”

Kevin’s cheeks were flushed with embarrassment. “This is totally off topic. I want to know what this danger is you’re talking about, and what’s been going on.” He rushed to say.

For a moment AJ debated pursuing the subject, but a silent warning from Brian had him agreeing to drop it. “Fine, fine. But this story is going to take forever, and I’m still not going to be able to tell you all of it. To do that would take too long. More time than we’ve got.” He took a sip of his coffee and settled further into the couch, and against Brian’s side. His lover lifted an arm, letting AJ rest in the groove there.

After another deep breath, AJ started in on his story. “To give you guys enough to understand without taking days to tell it all, I’m only going to give you the basics. I told you who I am, and what year I was born. You know that Howie made me into an immortal. Let’s see, what else from back then. Uh, my mother was an elf. Because being elvish is a magical bloodline, my elvish blood has grown and grown until I’m not really considered human anymore. But elf standards I’m an adult. My grandfather is King. Brian has some in him too, and it’s slowly changing him as well. We just, well, I used magic to cover up the changes.

“But that’s starting to jump ahead a little. I’ll try to tell this in order as best as possible. The guy who tried to kill me was Roth, the guy who came to your dad, Kev. He’s an evil son of a bitch who wants to kill off all the humans in the world because he believes they’ve destroyed the planet for one, and for two, he just really wants to be God. He craves power like we crave air. But he also holds a personal grudge to me cause he thinks I knocked up his daughter and left her high and dry. I didn’t, but, no one said he was sane. So he kidnapped Brian from me, cause he found a way to hurt immortals without them healing. Did I mention that we heal like, super-fast. As in, majorly heal?”

They all stared at AJ after his ramble. Even Brian. He looked around at them all. “What?” he asked. No one said anything. “What?” he asked again, slightly irritated.

Brian reached a hand up to lightly tug at AJ’s hair. “Lover, you need to make it quick, but not that quick.” He teased AJ. “Don’t just throw it in their face all at once. Geeze.”

“Well, times really important, so I’m trying to give them the highlights!”

“How about we explain what we are, first? Get that out of the way so they’ll at least understand the rest of it.” Brian pointed out.

AJ scowled up at him. “I did! I told them we’re immortal, and elves, and all that good stuff. What else is there to say?”

From his spot in the recliner Howie started to chuckle. He raised his hands, drawing attention over to him. “Ok, how about this. AJ, Brian, and I are immortal on top of being magicians. Not all immortals command the same power with elemental magic as we do. AJ is by far the strongest, with Brian next in line, then me. After that we only have a few others like us. Isleen, my woman. Sofia and Marzio, Richard and Geoff. Their magic isn’t as strong, but we are all immortal.

“What that means is that someone used the weave of spirit and laid it over our brain and our heart essentially and combined it with who we are to grant us immortality. This just means that our bodies heal really fast. We don’t get sick, period. We don’t need food or water to sustain us, or even air if it’s called upon. If you cut us, it’ll heal over quickly. Shoot us, we’ll heal.”

“Seriously?” Nick interrupted them, his voice high in surprise. “Like, anything?”

From his spot on the couch Brian let out a small groan. “Just trust us on this, it’s true. I didn’t believe it at first either. But please, take my word for it, or AJ’s going to end up demonstrating.”

AJ scowled up at that. “God damn” he grumbled. “Cut your hand off one freaking time and dude never lets you live it down.”

It was obvious that Nick was going to ask more questions, so to stave it off, AJ picked up the story. “So yeah, D basically told it to you straight. That’s what being an immortal means. Now, Roth is one as well, so he’s got all that going for him. Plus he’s done some dark shit, and dabbled in blood magic, which uses human sacrifice and other nasty things. Now, before I finish the story, you need to know that all those magical beings that everyone believes aren’t real? They are. Elves, centaurs, mermaids, faeries, all of them. Dragons, too. They’re just very talented at hiding.

“In the magical world there was once an elf who turned really evil. Like, super bad guy evil. He created the first immortals in a time long before any of us, even us old folk here. He also did blood magic, and darker magic than anyone knows. He was killed, but the magic he did allowed him to maintain the magic he has when he crossed over to wherever it is evil spirits go. Before he was killed, though, he did a lot of damage. Killed a lot of beautiful, innocent creatures. Essentially what Roth’s plan is boils down to, in five months’ time he plans on resurrecting Twyla, the elf’s, spirit and merging it with him so that they can rule the world together.”

They were interrupted then by the doorbell, signifying the pizza delivery guy. The food was paid for, brought in, and served up. Between bites, the three men told a shortened version of the rest of their story, omitting the facts that weren’t important. AJ grew flustered when Brian told about the whole trulion thing, and he flushed when the two looked at him in amazement. By the time they were done the food was gone and both Kevin and Nick had a general idea of things. They’d been invited to ask their questions, and had had them answered as best as possible.

It was growing dark outside by then and it was obvious that Nick was starting to droop a little. This was a lot to take in, and the guys knew that. Kevin was sitting back, holding Nick’s hand now that the others knew about them. “I see the danger.” Kevin said slowly. “But what part of this makes us in danger? Are we looked at it as potential hostages against you?”

“Pretty much.” Howie admitted with a sigh. “Much as we hate it, that’s basically what Twyla wants to do, through Roth. He wants to take you two so he can use you against us. So we’re here to protect you until elves arrive, ones who are practiced at pretending to be human. They’ll protect you guys with their lives. Before we go, we’ll add magical protection around the house too that should prevent Roth and his minions from entering.”

The room fell silent again while everything had been said was processed. There was no denying the truth of the situation. Not when calmly presented with the facts. Yet again Nick surprised them. He didn’t dwell on all of this, simply accepting that it was so. What he focused on had him grinning. “So, your hair is long because you’re an elf? What else changed? You said you did something to hide it, but I wanna see what you two look like. I mean, you’re among family now.”

A beautiful smile lit both Brian’s face and his eyes. He looked down at AJ. ‘Kids got a point. If we’re staying in the house mostly, wouldn’t it be ok for us to look like us?’

‘Yeah. I’ll spell the property before bed so that no one can get in and see us. I’d much rather be me anyways.’ AJ replied with a mental chuckle as he sat up. He raised his hands, pressing them to Brian’s temple as he removed the weave he’d laid there. Once it was gone he looked at Brian for a moment, trying to see the changes as Nick would. The ring around his irises, the smoother and slightly more tanned skin. The pointed ears. A slightly more slender body.

Then he brought his fingers up and pulled the glamour off of himself. He looked at them, watching their reactions as they saw the double rings in his eyes. He wore no facial hair anymore, but kept his piercings in.

“Well, hell.” Nick said, leaning back into Kevin. “Hearing you two say it was one thing. But damn, you look different. I don’t know…it suits you, I think.”

“I agree.” Kevin added. Carefully he rose to his feet, pulling Nick with him. “You guys gave us a lot to think about. I think we’ll head to bed; things might be easier to talk about in the morning when we’ve had time to wrap our brains around it. I just want to say, though, that I am sorry for my part in things. More so than you two will ever know.”

Brian did the only thing that he could. He rose and walked over to Kevin, embracing his cousin. “I love you, Kev.”

“I love you too, Bri, no matter how much you change.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took another hour for the trio to find their own beds. They had to shield the house and its property first to ensure their safety. It would alert them the instant that anyone magical came by, and would deter humans from coming close. It also worked as a barrier to keep their magic inside until they decided to pull the shield down or change it. Then they discussed how they wanted the week to go. But finally they separated to head to their own rooms, rooms that they’d used many times before staying at Kevin’s. One of the first things that AJ did when walking in the room was create another shield. This one would make sure that no sound left the room, but sound could still come in.
The lights were already off, and the curtains and blinds opened wide so that moonlight spilled into the room. With their night sensitive eyes, the two men needed no more than that. Staring at his lover’s eyes, Brian smiled from his seat on the edge of the bed. His shoes and socks were already off. Without breaking eye contact, he undid the hooks on his jeans and slid both them and the boxers to the floor. Next came his shirt.
Small hands of air took hold of the bottom of AJ’s shirt. He smiled and lifted his arms, allowing Brian to magically undress him. Once he was completely naked, AJ strolled to the bed. He locked the door with just a backward thought, using a small flow of air, not even bothering to turn around.  Brian had moved to the center of the bed, propped up on his elbows to watch AJ as he came close.
For a second AJ admired the beautiful body stretched out on the bed, waiting for him .He let his appreciation of Brian’s looks float into the bond, and got the same in response. The passion was already building in them, evident in the obvious arousals sticking proudly from their bodies. It was running its cycle through their bond, intensifying the feeling. AJ climbed onto the bed, crawling over top of Brian.
With a small smile Brian laid the rest of the way back, his hands automatically reaching up to grab the leather throng holding back AJ’s hair. With one pull it came free and his hair cascaded around them. “You’ve got a promise to keep, song of my heart.” AJ whispered huskily.
Brian ran his fingers through AJ’s hair, fanning it out around them. He enjoyed the length of it, the softness. The look. “That I do.” He replied, raising his head to offer a kiss. Their lips joined and the passion between them doubled. One of Brian’s hands fisted in AJ’s hair, holding his head in place while Brian propped himself back up on one arm. The kiss was hard and hot.
When they pulled apart, AJ was breathing heavily, his eyes glowing. Brian smiled a sensual smile. “If your hair was gone, I wouldn’t be able to do this.” He murmured, kissing him again before trailing his mouth down, over AJ’s jaw and his neck, using that fistful of hair to force AJ’s head back. “You like the edge of violence, the small taste of pain.” Brian whispered against his skin before pulling back to smile up at him.
With a sigh, Brian relaxed and let their bodies meld. Lightly he started to brush kisses across his neck again, his hand loosening its fist in his hair. AJ moaned lightly and tipped his head up, giving Brian easier access. Brian nibbled lightly, one of his hands coming up, running over AJ's chest while he continued to nibble at his neck, biting lightly before soothing it with his tongue. He felt AJ's hands slide over him, down his back and over his bottom. Those warm fingers had Brian arching against him, pushing their erections against one another in a dance they both knew so well.
Brian kissed and licked a path down his chest, pausing to latch onto the sensitive nipple there, biting and rolling it until it was hard as a pebble. Without warning he flipped them so that he was lying on top of him. Fire danced in AJ’s eyes, turning Brian on even more. God, he loved this man. The glow of the different colored rings gave him an even more erotic look.
The passion between them grew hotter and hotter, the cycle through the bond also grew strong and stronger until the two felt as if they were in a daze. Smiling to himself, and still thinking of his promise to AJ to make it up to him for not cutting his hair, Brian brought his mouth lower. Soon he was kneeling between AJ's legs, licking his lips as he stared at AJ’s thick erection.
Teasingly he flicked his tongue out at the swollen tip, enjoying it when AJ's hips jumped. Without warning he bent, taking all of him in, back as far as he could. He knew how AJ liked it, and knew what not to do. The two were well versed in what pleased the other. Right now, he knew that his lover wasn’t in the mood for teasing and playing. Hell, neither was he.
AJ let out a strangled moan and his hips jerked upwards, burying himself to the hilt in Brian's warm mouth.
Brian started to bob his head, sucking and licking. He silently thanked God that AJ had shielded their room against sound, because AJ's moans grew louder and more feverish. Brian didn't try to hold his hips down, but let him thrust as he wanted. He trailed a hand down, across AJ's legs. Brian sucked AJ in deep at the same time he slid a finger in AJ's puckered hole, just the first digit.
AJ couldn't think. His skin was glowing in the moonlight. Magic raced through him, aching to be set free as much as the passion was threatening to explode inside of him. Between Brian's warm, wet mouth and the finger slowly sliding in, stretching him, he was losing all control. Another finger joined the first, scissoring him, and then they were moving, pumping the same as the mouth wrapped around him.
Passion grew stronger. Their bond was open wide, emotions shared across it. AJ gripped the pillow on either side of his head, his hips dancing as they tried to thrust against the fingers and into Brian’s mouth at the same time.
His lover took him in deep and thrust his fingers in further, and AJ’s control snapped. With a scream he shot his load down Brian's throat.
When the last of the spasms stopped, Brian pulled away with a smile. He licked his lips and slid back up the bed, a satisfied smile on his face. AJ was covered from head to toe in sweat and was still trying to catch his breath.
They kissed again as Brian’s body fitted against his. While AJ was still riding the high of his orgasm, Brian slipped into him, pushing until he was buried fully in AJ’s tightness. He moaned against their kiss, rolling his hips to get that friction going. They slid into the motion that was both familiar and thrilling. Magic tingled across their skin, joining together.
Brian tried to keep some control of his magic, not wanting to cause any damage to the house around them, but AJ had no such qualms. The feeling of Brian moving inside of him so soon after orgasm had AJ gasping and moaning, his body on fire with sensation. He couldn’t think, couldn’t see, could barely breathe. He wanted it to never stop. He didn’t know how long he could stand it. Locking his arms around Brian’s neck he started to roll his own hips, seeking that one spot that would bring the ultimate pleasure. The one that would send him sky high.
One angle had him finding it. Brian’s thrust tapped against that spot, that place that intensified the pleasure a thousand fold, and AJ’s moan was almost a scream. He looked into Brian’s glowing eyes when his lover spoke. “There?” Brian asked huskily. He repeated the motion, eliciting another one of those moaning screams from AJ.
Now that he had the angle, Brian moved faster, deeper, until AJ was a writing moaning mass beneath him. He watched as AJ hit that peak, as he went over the edge with a loud scream, the air crackling with the force of his release. Air blew through their closed room, whipping their hair sideways, and knocking things off the dresser. Neither paid attention.
Brian could feel his own orgasm right there, just so close, so close. His thrusts became shorter, faster, and then he too was screaming, falling from the edge of that highest peak, his world exploding around him in flashes of light. His skin felt as if it was on fire, as if the fire inside of him was trying to get out. Then he collapsed, and he and AJ were wrapped tight around one another, panting as if they were humans who had run for miles.
“Jesus, Bri.” AJ gasped out. “If I was a human that would have killed me.”
“Mm.” Unable to do much else, Brian snuggled in, moving enough to snuggle against AJ’s side. “Did I make it up to you?” he asked sleepily.
AJ chuckled weakly. “An then some.” He promised, kissing Brian’s temple. Happy and sated, the two fell asleep.
